Before Paris Fashion Weeks goes live and we all get too hot and bothered with the street style photos to actually pay attention to the designers, let’s just discuss a bit what happened in Milan.
I’m really not into the black or generally dark vibe some of the designers seem to channel this season, so you won’t be surprised some of my top picks from Milan Fashion Week were more on the colorful side.
Ok, maybe Alberta Feretti not so much but I really, really loved the ultra polished looks that mixed delicate pencil skirts made out off airy fabrics and the fur capes, vests and leather tops.
And how about those amazing sheer maxi dresses that floated on the runway like a dream?!
And then we have Etro and Fendi that came up with spectacular outwear pieces.
Etro always delivers fantastic and unique prints and this season is no exception - I adore them and the colors and mix of abstract patterns are truly exquisite. Apparently the peplum trend is here to stay – I love the leather ruffle belts Veronica Etro used in many of the body hugging looks.
Fendi silhouette for this season is striking and the waist is in the limelight – that and the mix of colors and patterns make this collection a stand out for me. The super feminine looks with puffed-up shoulders have a very glamorous feel under the heavy winter coats – a wonderful contrast if you ask me.
Any thoughts?
